成立于1894年，已有百年历史的美国威斯康星大学Stevens Point校区（University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point，缩写为UWSP）坐落在美丽的威斯康星河畔的Stevens Point市，这里环境优美,民风淳朴，位列美国最适宜居住的百座名城之一,非常适合学习。UWSP现有学生约9,500人，包括来自几十个国家与地区的200多名国际留学生和占学生总数1.2%的中国留学生。

UWSP是美国著名的威斯康星大学系统的十三个校区之一， 设有艺术与传媒、文理、自然资源及专业教育4个学院，为学生提供近百个专业方向的本科学习项目。UWSP的自然资源学院享誉全球，它是北美地区最大的自然资源学院。

来访者背景介绍：

Brad Van Den Elzen is the Director of the International Student and Scholars Office UW-Stevens Point. He oversees both the ISSO and the ESL Program at UWSP. Brad is originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin (home to the famous Green Bay Packers football team), but has travelled to many regions of the U.S. and abroad. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from UW-Madison in 1993 and then went on to earn a Master’s degree from OklahomaStateUniversity in 1999 and a Ph.D. from OhioStateUniversity in 2006. In his spare time, he enjoys kayaking, travelling, and cooking and eating good food. Two places he would like to travel to next are Turkey and Central Asia.
